Tässä tutkimuksessa selvitettiin adaptiivisia taitoja 13–18-vuotiailla nuorilla, joilla oli Downin syndrooma. Tutkimuksen tehtävänä oli tuottaa kuvailevaa tietoa adaptiivisista taidoista, sekä selvittää eri taustamuuttujien yhteyksiä adaptiivisiin taitoihin. Tutkimuksen kohteena olleiden nuorten opettajia haastateltiin Adaptive Behavior Inventory –mittarin lyhyen version (Brown & Leigh 1986) avulla, jolloin he kertoivat näkemyksensä opettamansa nuoren adaptiivisista taidoista. Aineisto kerättiin syksyn 2012 aikana eri puolelta Suomea. Vastauksia saatiin yhteensä 18 ja niitä verrattiin sekä kehitysvammaisten nuorten normiaineistoon, että kaikkien nuorten normiaineistoon. Stalin’s critique of the idea of the class character of language

Shedding light on the different Soviet linguistic approaches to the phenomenon of the class character of language, this paper shows that Stalin’s 1950 critique of Nikolaj Marr’s views echoed criticism that had already been addressed to Marr by his contemporaries. The idea of the class character of language did not amount to a single coherent theory, in Soviet linguistics, of social and linguistic structures, but in many cases remained an abstract theoretical construct. Even if some linguists manifestly subscribed to the Marrist dogma, it did not immediately follow that the idea of the class character of language had exerted significant influence on the actual analysis of language material. …

Previous studies 1,2 have shown that kinematic viscosity values of food oils depend on the presence of added solvents and on the nature of the oil under investigation (e.g., geographical origin and treatments prior to oil production). Abstract Background We previously reported that in pathogenic mismatch repair (path_MMR) variant carriers, the incidence of colorectal cancer (CRC) was not reduced when colonoscopy was undertaken more frequently than once every 3 years, and that CRC stage and interval since last colonoscopy were not correlated. Methods The Prospective Lynch Syndrome Database (PLSD) that records outcomes of surveillance was examined to determine survival after colon cancer in relation to the time since previous colonoscopy and pathological stage.
